HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
This fair processing notice explains why our salon collects information about you and how that information is used. The professionals who provide your treatment maintain records about your treatment needs and your treatment history. These records may be electronic, on paper, or a combination of both. We utilize a blend of working practices and technology to ensure your information is kept confidential and secure.
Information We Hold
Our records about you may include the following information:
Personal details such as your address, date of birth, contact numbers, email address, and GP details.
Details of any contact the academy has had with you, including course details, payment options, and progress.
Notes and reports about your health.
Details about your treatment.
Your records are retained in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) implemented in May 2018. To ensure you receive the best possible care, your records facilitate the treatment you receive.

Common Law Duty of Confidentiality
Every member of our team has a legal obligation to keep your information confidential. We will only pass on information about you if others involved in your care have a genuine need for it. We will not disclose your information to any third party without your permission unless there are exceptional circumstances (such as life or death situations), where the law requires information to be passed on, for example, in cases of Child/Adult Protection and Serious Criminal Activity.
ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
Under the Data Protection Act, you have the right to request access to view or obtain copies of the information the salon holds about you and to have it amended if it is inaccurate. To request this, you need to:
- Speak to your therapist or call the salon.
- There may be a charge if you request copies more than twice within a six-month period.
- We are required to respond to your request within 30 days.
- Provide adequate information (such as full name, address, date of birth, and details of your request).
OBJECTIONS AND COMPLAINTS
If you have any concerns about how your information is managed at the salon, please contact the owner, Hayley Darroch. If you remain dissatisfied after a review by the salon, you can then complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) via their website (www.ico.org.uk).
NOTIFICATIONS
It is important to inform the person treating you if any of your details, such as your name or address, have changed or if any details such as your date of birth are incorrect. You have a responsibility to inform us of any changes so our records are accurate and up to date.
