  Training Structure:

  This course is structured over two days and runs from 10am — 4pm. We ask that students arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. Any students more than an hour late will have to pay a fee to reschedule their training. On day one, you will learn the theory of the treatment first, and spend the afternoon practicing your practical skills, with a short break for lunch. On day two, you will spend the morning re-capping the theory and the rest of the day will be spent practicing your practical skills with a short break for lunch. As you will give and receive treatments as part of this course, it is important you arrive free from nail polish, gel polish or nail extensions in order to complete this course. Should you arrive with any gel polish, extensions, lash extensions or having had any of the procedures listed below in the entry requirements, you will not be permitted to take part in the training and will have to pay a fee to reschedule your training.
  

  Kits: 

  We do not include any kits within our training courses, however we provide all products and tools required to complete the practical training on the day, at the training center for you to use. We do this so that students are not tied into specific kits/brands of products as part of their course fee, before they are trained and able to make an informed choice. Our training courses teach the
  generic treatment techniques and processes, they are not brand specific.

*Payment is in full, refunds are not permitted. Any requests to change course dates within 2 weeks will be subject to a rebooking fee. Any students an hour or more late, will not be permitted to train and will have to pay a rebooking fee. Any no shows will have to pay the cost of a full course again.



Course Benefits: 


Waxing treatments are sought after all year round to achieve smooth, hair-free skin, with clients returning every 4-6 weeks; this treatment will give you a continual source of income particularly during the summer months (more so with bikini, underarm and leg waxing) when waxing treatments are the most in-demand.

You will learn to remove hair from the most common and delicate areas, including upper lip, chin, legs, basic bikini line and underarms, using a variety of methods. Wax depilation provides a quick and efficient way of clearing small and large areas of unwanted hair, whilst the use of hot/warm wax, the traditional procedure of hair removal, is similarly as efficient and relatively pain-free for your clients in comparison to other methods. *Eyebrow waxing is covered in our ‘Precision Lashes and Brows’ course.*

Course entry requirements:

Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not yet beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry. We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skill from scratch or currently working as a therapist and looking to refresh your knowledge of particular treatments. You must arrive for the course free of nail polish, gel polish and/or nail extensions for hygiene purposes as well as free of eyelash extensions and make-up as an important part of the course is to give and receive treatments upon the face. If you have had any filler, botox or any other aesthetic treatments to the face within 4 weeks of the course, semi-permanent make-up (e.g., microblading), facial peels or microdermabrasion within 3 weeks of the course, then do not book this course until after these time frames. Should you attend the course and any of these apply, you will not be able to sit the training and will have to pay a full fee again to re-sit the training. Please note you will be required to give and receive treatments as part of the course and therefore will need to ensure you allow hair (re)growth in the areas to be covered on the training day. This must be a minimum of 0.5cm to ensure all students have the best possible opportunity to practice their skills. Should you fail to adhere to this you may not be able to sit your training day and a rescheduling fee may apply. Students work upon each other so no models are required for the training day. No models are required. All products and tools are provided for the training day at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training day, nor included in the course fee. On the training day, you only need to bring a hand towel for your personal use, completed enrolment form and cold food for your lunch (e.g., sandwich/salad). Tea & coffee will be provided on the day.

What qualification will you receive?

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma

certificate issued by Bella Mia Skin and Beauty and accredited by Professional Beauty Direct. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.

Additional work required to complete this qualification:

Once you have completed your training day with us and successfully passed the course, you must complete two full case studies of the following to obtain your certificate: full/half leg wax (one of each), underarm wax and bikini wax. These are to include before and after photos as well as the consultation forms for the family member(s)/friend(s) that you use for your case studies. You have 3 months to complete these. Upon successful completion of your case studies and confirmation of you passing, your diploma certificate will be sent to you within 1-2 working days and you can then begin working from home and/or mobile, once insurance has been obtained. You can obtain your insurance with The Professional Beauty Direct. If you would like a hard copy of your certificate please make us aware prior to your training course. This will be an additional £10.
